About us 

Ay Chihuahua Rescue is a newly formed, all volunteer-based nonprofit organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing of the Chihuahua breed.  We are a Texas Nonprofit Corporation and are actively working toward our 501(c)3 designation.

While we are a new rescue group, we are founded by a dedicated group of rescue veterans who combined, have over 75 years experience in saving lives!

Our love of the Chihuahua breed urged us to action when the plea for a breed specific rescue group was placed.  Chihuahuas have the second highest euthanasia rate in Central Texas and it is our belief this is due to overpopulation.  We strive not only to rescue, but to owner-educate and provide spay/neuter options where available.
